Join us on a guided  Paddleboard Experience Tour
just £39.00 per person 

We will be running guided tours from Newbury, Wallingford, Abingdon and Oxford on Saturday's and Sunday's between May and October 2024. Our Sunset Tours will run on alternative Wednesday evenings from Woolhampton and Hungerford.

Places are limited to 12 per tour. For larger groups please call 07399 588489 or use our contact form.
Each tour will start with a full safety briefing and tips on how to improve your paddling. We will provide all equipment  including buoyancy jackets.

Wallingford

Home town of Agatha Christie and the filming location of many episodes of the TV series Midsomer Murders, featuring DCI Tom Barnaby. We will escape the scene of the crime by gently paddling up the River Thames alongside Castle Meadows where you can see the ruins of the Anglo Saxon Castle. Our paddle starts and finishes on the opposite bank to the Boat House, where you can enjoy post paddling refreshments. 

Newbury

Kennet and Avon Canal.

 

Meet by the Teashop by the Canal for a gentle paddle out of the town into the rolling countryside. Upon our return you can sample the many delights that Newbury has to offer including open park spaces, a bustling market and a great selection of open air bars and cafes.

Abingdon

Meet at Hales Meadow, next to Abingdon Bridge. This is where the River Thames meanders between the Cotswolds and the Chiltern Hills, both designated Areas of Outstanding Beauty. This is an opportunity to glide through the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. Upon our return the opportunity to enjoy some refreshments at the Nags Head, which sits on its own island, is not to be missed

See the “City of Spires” from a totally different perspective. Our tour starts at Donnington Bridge, near to the College Boat Houses. We venture up the River Thames before joining the River Cherwell and turning towards the city center. The Botanical Gardens make a fabulous backdrop before we reach the iconic bell tower at Magdalen College. Our route back to takes us around the Water Meadow, before rejoining the River Thames.

Hungerford

We take advantage of the summer evenings with a relaxing paddle from the historic market town of Hungerford, towards the setting sun. Our route takes us through the North Wessex Downs an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

A sunset paddle along the Kennet and Avon Canal, departing and returning to The Rowbarge Country Inn. An ideal setting to start and finish our paddle with a nice refreshing drink in the beautiful garden.
